Object description :

"Cornish Serpentine Lighthouse Table Lamp From The 1930s"
These table lamps are iconic Cornish antiques.
Hand-carved from serpentine, a local stone quarried near The Lizard, their production is now very limited, allowing only small pieces to be made.

Please see all our photos to appreciate the fineness of the stone. The lamp is quite heavy, and you will notice the contrast between the rough appearance of the stone and the smooth, polished stone used for the house itself.
It is rare to find lamps with a lighthouse-shaped shade.

The shade lifts up to make changing the bulb easy. Please use an LED bulb to avoid overheating.

The lamp has been rewired for the UK. We can make this change for any other destination; please contact us for more information.

A decorative table lamp ideal for any room, and particularly suited to a nautical theme! A classic British antique, from the beautiful southwest coast of England.
