Large mahogany console table. Richly ornamented with gilt bronze mounts symbolizing the legendary alliance of Athena and Hermes: full heads at the top of the pilasters, and caducei on the rear uprights. On the front, a cartouche flanked by half-rosettes contains two facing griffins. Projecting base. Molded blue Turquin marble top. Consulate-Empire period.
