Shrimp Fisherwoman, Fouras 1919. Jules Louis Moreteau 1886-1956. Large oil on canvas, signed and dated lower right. Titled, countersigned, and located on the reverse. In its original frame. Dimensions: 100 x 73 cm in the frame, 114 x 85 cm with the frame. This large-format Salon painting is in good condition. The artist's hand is clearly evident, particularly in the treatment of the sky. Our painting is located in Fouras. Trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, this traveling painter from Bordeaux was a student of Charles Fouqueray. Prix de Rome 1926. Represented in the Musée de la Rochelle and the Musée du Quai Branly.
