Bronze Seal Of Francis I With Whip
A superb bronze seal depicting Francis I wearing a plumed hat and holding a whip in his right hand. At his feet are a helmet with a plume and a pair of gloves. The seal is engraved with a count's coronet surmounting a coat of arms and surrounded by laurel. The seal is mounted on a bronze stand, which rests on a black marble base, the latter showing some minor chips. The sculpture is of exceptional quality, with a beautiful golden patina. Overall height: 14.8 cm; Seal height: 10.5 cm; Base diameter: 5.5 cm
