Chinese-style Display Case By Gabriel Viardot
An important display cabinet in exotic wood, the pediment finely carved with cheeky phoenixes in clouds, and in the center a bronze dragon emerging from its cave. The doors and drawers are inlaid with court scenes, branches, and birds; the bronze handles are in the shape of frogs. The interior is lined with crimson velvet. This cabinet is unmarked; see a very similar signed model at the Artcurial sale of December 16, 2019, lot 359.
