A Louis XVI period marquetry guillotine-style secretary desk with musical attributes, stamped with the maker's mark. It opens with two doors revealing a shelf, a leather-covered drop-front revealing a shelf, three niches, and six small drawers. The lower section opens with two doors revealing a shelf and two compartments. The uprights are canted, and the top is gray marble veined with white. Keys are present and the locks are functional. Louis XVI period, 18th century. Dimensions: Height 180 cm, Width 112.5 cm, Depth 43.5 cm. François Bayer, cabinetmaker and marquetry artist in Paris.
