Portrait painter and ethnologist from the beginning of the 20th century.
He was passionate about insects from an early age. Felix Bryk studied classical and turned towards a career as a painter. He stayed in Paris and Florence where he met Aino Makinen, whom he married in 1909 in Myllykylä. In parallel with his artistic studies, he continues to study insects and more specifically Lepidoptera.
Bryk came to Sweden during the First World War. He makes exhibitions of his works and publishes entomological articles.
He traveled extensively in Europe, notably to Vienna, Paris, Florence and Stockholm where he died.
