Auguste Dandoy (Namur, 1839-1893) Painter. Son of Jean-Baptiste and father of Albert Dandoy. Trained at the Namur Academy under F. Marinus (1854-1857), then at the Brussels Academy under Quinaux. Friend of Is. Verheyden. Predilection for landscapes of the Namur region and panoramas of the Meuse. Antwerp and Maastricht also inspired him. Professor at the Namur Academy from 1872 to 1893.
