"Cab Vase (céramique d'Art De Bordeaux) – Turquoise Green And Oxblood Red Glaze"

CAB - Bordeaux Art Ceramics - 1919-1947. Elegant glazed stoneware vase. Founded at the beginning of the 20th century, this factory is renowned for its vibrant glazes. Its work is characterized by a constant exploration of the interplay between fire, clay, and glaze techniques. This ovoid vase features a superb flow of turquoise green and oxblood red glaze on a deep burgundy background. The gilt bronze mount is decorated with gadrooned friezes and raised pearls around the upper and lower rims. The richly nuanced glaze displays crystallization and crackle effects characteristic of the CAB workshops under the direction of Félix Gête. Stamped CAB mark and number 73 under the base, with the word FRANCE engraved on the metal band.
