Demeter Chiparus. Elegant statuette depicting a standing nude young woman, holding a light drape against her leg, her face inclined in an expression of gentleness. Signed at the base, this work is typical of the sensual and refined style of the Romanian-born French sculptor, a major figure of the Art Deco movement. Height of the figure: 8 cm – total height: 12 cm. Finely carved sculpture, mounted on a period pink marble base. The supple modeling, harmonious proportions, and graceful pose perfectly characterize Chiparus's pursuit of balance and elegance. Very good condition
