Elegant oval table designed by Gio Ponti in 1955 for RIMA, model BT 201. The top, in finely veneered walnut, rests on a central black painted metal structure with a four-spoke base in brass and iron, of great formal balance.
The piece is a refined example of post-war Italian modern design, combining visual lightness with solid construction. The harmonious proportions and clean lines fully reflect Ponti's architectural language, which combined functionality with timeless elegance.
