Carved Wooden Eagle
Monumental carved and patinated wooden eagle. The eagle stands on a highly realistic, openwork wooden branch. The feet and trunk are finely carved. The eyes are made of glass. It is a very beautiful and monumental work of mastery. Signed Peter Bury on the base. There are two very small losses: on the tip of the tongue and on the tip of one wing. Probably German work, circa 1860.
