Johann Matthias Von Der Schulenburg (1661-1747), depicted in armor with the cross of the Order of Malta around his neck, commander of the Venetian troops and the Order of Malta, during the Battle of Corfu (1716) defending against the Turkish siege, where he led the Maltese and Venetian troops to victory. Oil on canvas, studied by Professor Stefano Causa who, in a 15-page study, attributes it to the hand of the great Francesco Solimena. Museum-quality work, 109x91 cm, within its original frame.
