Eb27 Type Ss Double-arm Floor Lamp By Edouard Wilfrid Buquet
Edouard Wilfrid Buquet, double-balanced floor lamp in nickel-plated steel, a variant of the "Lampe Equilibrée" designed in 1927. The original catalog lists it as "Type SS" (for Sur Sol, meaning "On the Floor"), and also included its inverted equivalent as a ceiling light (Type P) as well as a wall-mounted version (Type M). Published by AML Licht & Design (AML Balanstrasse 9, Munich), this very high-quality lamp is featured in this exact configuration of finish and wiring in Andrea Luperger's brochure "La Lampe Equilibrée," self-published around 1980. Standard bayonet socket, bulb included. The comparable original model is published in: Charlotte & Pieter Fiell, 1000 Lights, vol. 1, Cologne 2005, p. 245. The electrical plug has been replaced by us. H 165 cm x W 70 cm x D 77 cm. Base diameter 33 cm.
