Polychrome wooden sculpture depicting Jizō Bosatsu (Kshitigarbha Bodhisattva), protector of children, travelers, and lost souls. The figure is depicted wearing sumptuous clothes, standing on a multi-tiered base decorated with a lotus leaf motif and rocks below.
Japan, Edo period (1603-1868).
Height 30 cm, width 13 cm, depth 10 cm.
Relatively good condition, missing both hands, one foot, polychromy losses.
