Bronze Diana Of Gabies After Praxiteles, 19th Century Work
Bronze representing a young woman in Antiquity, Diana of Gabies after Praxiteles, this bronze cast with brown patina is a 19th century work signed by Sauvage (French sculptor Charles Gabriel Lemire known as Sauvage 1741-1827) after the Roman marble sculpture of the Emperor Tiberius and discovered in 1792 in Gabies in Italy, preserved at the Louvre Museum. Beautiful patina, good condition, very decorative.
