"Art Deco Vase French Glass, Plum Pattern - Charles Schneider"
Multi-layer glass vase created by Charles Schneider for the Le Verre Français factory around 1924, Art Deco period. This vase has a baluster shape on a pedestal and a flared neck. The technique used is acid etching, which gives a relief effect to the decoration. The bottom glass is reddish in color with a matte granite effect reminiscent of the texture of brick. The decoration of fruits (plums) and stylized foliage is an intense polished brown, providing contrast and difference in texture with the background. The pedestal, speckled with green, is preceded by geometric patterns typical of Art Deco. The signature is engraved with a point "Le Verre Français" on the foot. This vase is called Prune and appears in the artist's catalog raisonné. It is a representative piece of the production of master glassmaker Charles Schneider. This vase is in excellent condition!
