"Bolognese Empire Sideboard"
Important Bolognese sideboard from the early Empire period (early 19th century), with two drawer doors.
The cabinet is veneered in Ferrara walnut burl and features four columns on the front, capitals, and bases in mercury-gilded bronze.
The interior is poplar. The top is made of fine Calacatta purple marble, also known as Breccia Medicea.
The key and lock are also original.
