Ernie - Silver and crystal ewer or carafe Circa 1880-1890 Blown crystal ewer cut with twisted ribs and mounted in a silver mount. The crystal is engraved with floral motifs. The neck of the ewer is finely worked with latticework, rocaille and floral motifs. The spout is closed by a lid whose grip is decorated with a floral motif in relief. The scalloped handle is openwork. The base repeats the openwork latticework, rocaille and floral motifs. H: 31cm weight = 950 grs gross Silver hallmarks. Head of Minerva. From 1838.
