Superb cache-pot in fine glazed earthenware, hand-decorated with polychrome floral motifs on a nuanced green background. Work signed E. Coppenolle (Edmond van oppenolle, 1846~1914), Belgian painter active in Montigny-sur-Loing at the end of the 19th century. The piece bears the signature of the decorator on the belly and the hollow stamp "MSL" (Montigny-sur-Loing), accompanied by the blue factory stamp "MONTIGNY SUR LOING" under the base.
