Saint Anthony Of Padua, 17th Century Statue
Saint Anthony of Padua, statuette
Carved wood, covered with coated canvas, polychrome.
Spanish work, 17th century.
Statuette, crafted with great finesse, representing Saint Anthony of Padua, recognizable by his hooded Franciscan monk's habit. The hands, now missing, probably held the Book and the Infant Jesus, traditional attributes of the saint. The eyes are made of glass and inlaid. Very fine quality workmanship.
Condition: Some gaps and wear from use, arm reattached. Dimensions: 23 x 5 cm
