Burl And Rosewood Jewelry Box Marquetry Box

Beautiful rectangular box of good size in burl and rosewood. Its lid, slightly domed, is inlaid in its center with an engraved brass plate framed by garlands also in brass. The underside is protected by black felt. It opens onto a beautiful interior covered with a fine moiré silk of cherry red color. Its lovely original "four leaves" key is present but the lock seems blocked. This is a refined production of the 19th century or the beginning of the 20th century. Dimensions: Length: 22 cm Width: 15 cm Height: 9.5 cm Good condition despite normal marks of age (see photos). The silk inside is in very good condition.
