Sold with invoice-certificate. Very good condition. René Hamiot (1902-1975) In this landscape René Hamiot is fully in line with Lyon expressionism alongside painters like Cottavoz, Fusaro or Truphémus. From 1941 to 1947, he followed the course of Aristide Maillol, then in 48, he met, in Sète, the painter François Desnoyer, a friend of Fusaro. It is undoubtedly at this time that Hamiot was influenced by this school. Each brushstroke translates the presence and sensitivity of the artist transforming the landscape into a space where nature and the interiority of the painter merge. A figurative painting that flirts with the abstract. Particularly the treatment of the sky in this painting.
