Chinese copper vase, entirely covered on the outside with cloisonné enamels, made in China between 1950 and 1970.
The polychrome decoration, composed of peonies, peach blossoms, insects, and a bird with blue plumage — probably a kingfisher — stands out vividly against a powder pink background, a rare and subtle color.
In Chinese iconographic tradition, the kingfisher, with its iridescent blue feathers, is often associated with beauty, purity, and prosperity, thus enhancing the symbolic value of the composition.
Condition: no dents, enamels intact.
