Spherical pendant light, a smoked plexiglass support holds white flexible plastic slats.
Created by Preben Jacobsen and Flemming Brylle around 1965.
Produced by Quality System in the 1965/70s, this model is a large nine-slat version of the Strips model.
Flemming Brylle and Preben Jacobsen
The artist Flemming Brylle (born in 1935) and the industrial designer Preben Jacobsen founded their company Quality System in 1965. When they founded their company, Flemming Brylle and Preben Jacobsen invented the assembly and disassembly system in modern lighting. (see reproduction of an assembly diagram provided at the time)
