"Swiss Table, 18th Century."
This small walnut table has an octagonal cabaret top and opens with a drawer on the front. Originally from Valais, it has all the characteristics of the region: elegance and finesse of the turning, a top with cut sides, a rounded X-shaped spacer, which rests in the center on a fifth leg. These tables were particularly appreciated by dice players. Well preserved, the wood used, chosen at the time with the greatest care, has survived the ages without suffering the passing of time. A small lack on a drawer corner should be noted as well as a reinforcement under the spacer and minor accidents to the turning discs. 18th century period dimensions: top 72 cm x 56 cm, height 68 cm.
