Elegant Louis XV style carved oak table with a side drawer, 19th century The 4 arched legs with hooves are carved with acanthus leaves The 4 sides are also carved with acanthus leaves surrounding a Regency style shell on a crosspiece background Very fine and deep carving The sides are fretworked on all 4 sides The side drawer is dovetailed The top is molded and carved with a plant decoration around the edge The top is covered with a wool stitch tapestry with a greenery decoration in good used condition Table pegged and solid Note: the base and the belt are most certainly from the 18th century and resculpted under Napoleon III as was the fashion at that time The top was probably brought back to the Napoleon III era This piece of furniture has undergone previous transformations but is nonetheless a delightful living room table that will find its place in a cozy interior: boudoir, living room... h: 69 cm length: 71.5 cm width: 49.5 cm h under belt: 59 cm
