Antonio Ferretti was born in Italy; in the 20th century, he developed an activity in the office furniture industry and technical monuments, via companies in Milan. He was involved in ceramics or decorative arts in an older sense (ceramic factories), but these are historical homonyms (from the 18th century) - this is not the same contemporary Antonio Ferretti of furniture. He transformed the initial activity of the family business (kilns, building materials) into metalworking and furnishing furniture in Milan. This designer furniture by Antonio Ferretti Milano, made in the 1970s, has a wood and black metal structure enhanced with gold details. It is composed of a low cabinet with sliding doors topped by two elegant open shelves, which gives it an airy and functional look. With its sober aesthetic and balanced lines, it is part of the Italian modernist spirit of the second half of the 20th century, with a Scandinavian influence perceptible in the lightness of its silhouette.
