Beautiful mahogany burl veneer and gilt bronze secretaire. Blue Turquin marble top. Uprights with constricted and ringed columns, swans with laurel wreaths. Three drawers and a flap on the front. The flap reveals five drawers and three secrets, ringed columns. Keyholes with crossed arrows, quivers, laurel wreaths, lictor's fasces and ribbons. Trefoil locks, shell feet. Finely chiseled bronzes, mercury gilded. Oak frame, french polish. Circa 1810. In the style of Bernard Molitor and Charles-Joseph Lemarchand. Height 141 cm, marble width 113 cm, marble depth 54 cm.
