"Set Of Six B20 Chairs, Tecta, Germany, Circa 1980 "
Model B20 cantilever chairs designed by Axel Bruchhäuser for Tecta, Germany, circa 1980. Inspired by the Bauhaus research of Mart Stam and Marcel Breuer, these chairs revisit the spirit of the Bauhaus with a contemporary vocabulary. The curved tubular steel frame supports a seat and backrest in gray woven synthetic rattan, providing comfort and flexibility while asserting lasting modernity. The B20 model illustrates Tecta's desire to extend and update the legacy of the modernist movement, combining fidelity to historical forms with innovation in materials.
