"Art Nouveau Stamp / Seal In Gilded Bronze Signed A. Marionnet – Mulberry Tree Decoration "
Elegant gilt bronze desk stamp, typical of the Art Nouveau movement, signed by the sculptor and founder Albert Marionnet. The flared handle is adorned with a superb naturalistic decoration of mulberry leaves and fruits finely chiseled in the round. The composition, all curves and suppleness, perfectly illustrates the organic and poetic aesthetic specific to Art Nouveau. The circular base, intended to receive a seal engraving, is still smooth. The signature "A. Marionnet" appears in relief on the neck, attesting to the quality of manufacture and the refinement of this renowned bronzesmith active in Blois at the end of the 19th century. A charming and collectible object, this stamp demonstrates the refined taste and expertise of the French workshops of the Belle Époque.
