Description:

Serge Belloni, known as "The Painter of Paris," dedicated his artistic life to capturing the timeless essence of Paris and Venice. Day after day, in all weathers, he immortalized the ever-changing faces of the City of Light and the City of Doges.


This beautiful painting transports us to Paris, offering a magnificent view of the Pont du Carrousel and the Observatory. Belloni particularly loved spending autumn and early winter in Paris, when the bare trees revealed the city’s authentic architecture and soul. For the rest of the year, he sought the unique light of Venice.

Biography:

Born in Italy in 1925, Serge Belloni settled in Paris in 1933. He studied at the École supérieure des Beaux-Arts and held his first exhibition at the age of 21. Throughout his life, he devoted himself to painting, working every day, in all weather, to capture the essence of Paris.


His travels to Holland allowed him to master the techniques of the Flemish masters, which he perfected throughout his career. His works are present in prestigious collections around the world, from Paris to New York, via Milan and Moscow.
