Oil on canvas depicting a seaside scene, possibly in Brittany, signed lower right Dominique Dall'Agnol. Dominique Dall'Agnol was born in Moutiers in 1931 to Italian parents. The family moved to Juan-les-Pins, Côte d'Azur, in 1945. With a passion for drawing in his blood, he began painting at the age of nineteen. A boarder at the School of Decorative Arts in Nice, he nevertheless considers himself completely self-taught. He later worked for a time with his father in his other passion, cinema. During this period, he painted numerous film posters. The actor and director Eric von Stroheimetait was one of these clients. Returning to Savoie, to Bellecombe in 1970, he would become better known under the nickname Mino and as a letter painter. He won the Grand Prix de Deauville in 1967, but his career really began in the 1980s when his talent was noticed in many exhibitions and salons in France and abroad. His established reputation allows him today to see his work sold all over France as well as in many countries around the world. His reward is quite simple, that his painting can delight people of all cultures and civilizations.
