Gilt bronze plaque, mounted on a small base, depicting a bas-relief. The name Trémois is visible engraved in the lower left corner of the plaque. Pierre-Yves Trémois (1921–2020) was a French artist renowned for his work in drawing, sculpture, and engraving, combining the human body, animals, and the scientific imagination. A profile of a human face, with idealized features, symbolizing the intellect fused with the human head, a stylized crustacean, finely detailed. This juxtaposition of man and insect is typical of Trémois, who liked to explore the duality between the human and the biological world, the natural and the unusual.
