Extraordinary cascade chandelier
composed of numerous polyhedral elements in Murano blown glass
circa 1960
h. approx. 90 cm
The structure features polyhedrons in transparent blown glass with characteristic wavy/grooved texture, arranged in cascade on multiple descending levels creating a play of light refraction through the numerous facets of the elements that compose the chandelier.
This model represents the excellence of Murano production from the 1960s, characterized by:
- Formal elegance typical of Italian mid-century design
- Artisanal mastery in glass blowing
- Scenic effect given by the multiplication of elements
- Transparency and visual lightness despite the important dimensions
The chandelier is in very good condition, with intact and transparent glass elements (some small breaks on a few polyhedrons, however spare elements are present). Electrical system present and working.
