Pair Of 19th Century Medici-shaped Porcelain And Biscuit Vases Mounted As Lamps
Pair of 19th century Medici vases mounted as lamps in porcelain and biscuit, with a black granite base. These vases have a gilded background enhanced with scenes painted on porcelain, representing women playing musical instruments: guitar and harp. The handles are decorated with winged antique-style female figures in white biscuit. The matte decoration on a glossy background stands out against which winged sphinxes, cornucopias, flower baskets, cherubs, female musicians (harps and tambourines) and dancers.
