Satyr. Extraordinary Venetian door handle attributed to Nicolo de' Conti (1530-1601) by the Hampel auction house, but could also be attributed to the workshops of Severo Calzetta in Ravenna or Andrea Briosco, known as Il Riccio. In any case, this is a magnificent bronze from one of the many workshops in Venice or Padua founded in the first half of the 16th century. Beautiful patina, approximate dimensions: 14 cm.
