He is distinguished by a naturalistic style, in the tradition of 19th-century English rural painters. He also produced architectural studies and drawings for the study of buildings, such as churches. Visible at the Galerie Courcelles Antiquités, at 97 rue de Courcelles, in the 17th arrondissement of Paris.
