A brass and horn octagonal mirror with beveled mirror plate. This piece is of exceptional quality and signed "Redmile London.", by the Avant Garde London designer Anthony Redmile.

J. Antony Redmile had a boutique in London in the 1960’s through the 1980’s selling unique bespoke artisan pieces featuring precious and exotic materials. This mirror is a sensational work of art.

Selling from his shop at 73 Pimlico Road in the 1960’s and 70’s, designer J. Antony Redmile was inspired by the eclectic collecting of the Victorian and Edwardian eras. He was best known for his extravagant designs that stood out through his use of unusual materials such as antlers, ostrich eggs, shell, cow horn and bone in his furniture. House and Garden magazine once described him as ‘the most original, prolific and fantastical designer in Britain.’ His clients included Rod Stewart, Princess Margaret, Jacqueline Onassis and Joan Collins. He even designed the objets d’art for the cruise ship, Norway.
