Chinese-inspired decorations were then fashionable and reflected the fascination of Europeans for the Orient and its influence on the Decorative Arts. A great lover of antiques, André Raynaud acquired an earthenware plate in 1974, the designs of which he admired and decided to transpose them onto his delicate, fine and transparent porcelain, allowing a perfect and vibrant rendering of the designs and colors. This service features six original scenes, present on all the plates and cups, depicting bucolic scenes of fishermen in the midst of exotic nature. Foliage and birds punctuate the sides of the plates, whose edges are adorned with an elegant green combed border. Raynaud has now re-enchanted this emblematic decoration of the House on "Argent", a scalloped shape from the 18th century, to better ennoble it.
