Lebrun : Rare Sterling Silver Soup Tureen / Centerpiece, Charles X Era - 7.26 Kg
Gigantic Centerpiece / Soup Tureen in solid silver from the Charles X / Restoration period resting on a base with four "Coquilles" feet with foliate attachments. Base (engraved with monograms see photos) and body bordered with large friezes of gadroons with alternating shell and foliage clasps. Lid surmounted by a magnificent grip stamped with a shell and resting on a terrace of wheat sheaves and vine leaves / bunches of grapes. Complete set with its original interior also in Silver with interior grips in Shells. Remarkably hallmarked set (body, lid and interior) with the Hallmarks of 1st Title called "Vieillard" and guarantee for PARIS 1819-38 and Hallmarks of the Master Goldsmith Marc-Augustin LEBRUN (Hallmark with the initials "ML" a weather vane and an eagle) received in 1810-11. Gigantic Centerpiece / Soup Tureen from the early 19th century of very high quality in excellent condition, set also revised and cleaned by our Goldsmith, micro-scratches from use.
