Zephyr Incense Burner, 19th Century
Elegant gilt bronze incense burner in the form of an Athenian cassolette, the baluster cover decorated with pine cone, friezes of gadroons and palmettes, the basin with openwork palmette patterns supported by three legs decorated with heads of young winged Zephyrs, ending in doe hooves, joined on a trilobed plinth base on a griotte red marble plinth (wear, alterations, small chip on the marble).
