Handwritten Hebrew protective amulet (kame’a) on lined paper, invoking divine names and blessings for David ben Moshe. The text opens with the traditional Sephardic formula “With God’s help” and includes both curved and linear inscriptions typical of North African Jewish devotional manuscripts. Written in a flowing Maghrebi-Sephardic semi-cursive hand, it calls upon divine protection from harm, illness, and misfortune.
A fine example of Jewish folk mysticism from the late 19th–early 20th century, preserved under glass in its original wooden frame with natural patina and light ink fading consistent with age.
Origin: Morocco, circa 1880–1920
Dimensions (framed): 27.3 × 21.3 cm
Condition and Presentation:
Good overall condition. The manuscript shows natural age toning, minor ink fading, and slight paper discoloration typical of the period. The paper remains stable and well-preserved under glass. The original wooden frame, with traces of wear, enhances the piece’s authenticity and period charm.
It is possible to pay in instalments.
