Artist: Nicolai Issaiev (1891_1977)
Nicolas Issaiev, born in Ukraine in 1891, was a painter, graphic artist, and theater designer who studied in Odessa, Kharkiv, and at the Académie Ranson in Paris. After emigrating to Belgrade in 1919 and working at the National Theater, he settled in Paris in 1925 and exhibited his works in numerous international exhibitions. He illustrated works by major authors and participated in major exhibitions until his death in Paris in 1977. Abstract and cubist composition, gouache on cardboard, framed under glass.
