"Louis XIV Style Writing Table From The End Of The 17th Century, Beginning Of The 18th Century, Desk, Walnut Console "
Beautiful Louis XIV style writing table in solid walnut from the end of the 17th - beginning of the 18th century. It is composed of a pretty base with four faceted legs and baluster, connected together by a spacer also faceted and decorated with a spinning top in its center. Each leg is finished with a small hexagonal and flattened ball. The belt is fitted on the front with a large transverse drawer; The whole is topped with an overflowing top decorated with a beautiful molding on its entire perimeter. We note some small stains on the top, some restorations of use (drawer bottom) as well as a small lack on a ring at the level of the spacer (see last photo) all entirely normal given the age of this piece of furniture and its use.
