"Boulle Marquetry Regulator"
Spectacular regulator in Boulle marquetry , brass on a red tortoiseshell background, very beautiful gilt bronze ornamentation. Dial with enameled cartouches, on the top the god Chronos and his gilt bronze scythe, symbol of time.
Louis XV style , Napoleon III period ; a French work circa 1860-1880.
The longcase clock is in unrestored condition; little restoration required ( not much ! ).
