Glazed and painted ceramic vase – MAS (Maioliche Artistiche Savonesi), ca. 1920

An important glazed and finely painted ceramic vase, made in Albissola Capo by MAS – Maioliche Artistiche Savonesi, a manufacturer active for a short but significant period until 1922 under the guidance of Dario Ravano, a master craftsman capable of reinterpreting the Ligurian ceramic tradition of the 17th and 18th centuries with creative force.

The vase has a globular body supported by three plastic paw-shaped feet, applied handles modeled as masks, and rich polychrome decoration. On the front is a central medallion with portraits, surrounded by floral motifs and fluttering ribbons.
