Mirror barrel with flat sides then round, marked: ‘Mle 1874’ on the top, ‘S. 1878’ on the right side, stamped with the letters “M” and ‘J’ encircled on the left side.
Steel frame stamped ‘N 23 248’.
Hollow cylinder with six chambers.
Chequered wooden grip panels.
Ring for lanyard on stud.
All parts bear the same number and inspection marks.
Single and double action.
High-gloss polished finish.
A total of 36,084 1874 revolvers were produced, including 6,808 in 1876.
