Very large serving tray in lacquered sheet metal with gold chinoiserie decoration on a black background. French work from the Napoleon III period, circa 1850-60, it was mounted as a coffee table with a custom-made wrought iron base. Beautiful accessory typical of great decorators in the 1950s-60s, allowing these very large trays to be given life and utility to create a coffee table adapted to modern uses, with an antique object. It is very elegant and practical. Very good general condition, tray without corrosion, some wear to the lacquer. The base in very good condition. Tray dimensions 74 x 58.5cm Table height 49cm
