"Louis XVI Period Rack-and-pinion Light Stand"
Important light-bearing pedestal table in solid mahogany, with a circular white marble top surrounded by an openwork brass gallery, adjustable in height by a rack system, on a fluted and rudentée column shaft, finished by a base with a carved decoration of cabochon and acanthus leaf frieze, supported by three small arched feet decorated with piastre friezes (reinforcements, light wear, small cracks).
Port work, Louis XVI period.
Good condition.
